Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Ashford Rugby Football Club
Will be held at the Clubhouse on Tuesday 30th June 2026 from 7:00 pm.


Any nominations for positions within the Club must be Proposed and Seconded by a FULLY PAID-UP MEMBER of the Club and received in writing by the Club Secretary Charlie Vavasour (honsec@ashfordrugby.co.uk) no later than Tuesday 16th June 2026, 14 days prior to the meeting.

  • 4. President’s address
  • 5. Finance report including audit exemption proposal.
  • 6. Games report
  •      i) Captains reports 1st XV

  •      iv) Minis & Juniors reports
  • 7. Chair’s report
  • 8. 100 Club report
  • 9. Sponsorship report
  • 10. Proposed amendment to Club Rules (as below)

RULES

The Rule changes proposed and agreed at last year’s AGM have been accepted by the Mutuals Society apart from the change “removing the election of committee members at rule 8.4 and allowing committee members to be appointed by the elected officers.”

As such, there is a proposal from the Committee to reinstate rule 8.4.

If this proposal is agreed at the AGM, the following Committee posts shall be open for election:

  • President (elected for a two-year term)
  • Honorary Secretary
  • Honorary Treasurer
  • Vice Chair
  • Commercial Director (sponsorship)
  • Discipline Manager
  • House Manager

  • (Note: Chair was elected last year on a two-year term)


The following posts shall be open for decision by the newly elected Committee:

  • Fixtures Secretary
  • Youth DoR
  • Women & Girls Development
  • Boys Co-ordinator
  • Girls Co-ordinator
  • Minis Co-ordinator
  • Ladies Rep
  • Mens Rep


Due to specialist nature, training requirement and over-arching role it is agreed that John Heaver is the Club Safeguarding Officer.
